Geometric solids

I have drawn six solids with their corresponding shadows, using graphite pencils of different grades: HB, 6B and 8B. To create brightness, I used a kneaded eraser.

In this way, I was able to give volume to each of them.

Levels of iconicity

In this work, we have studied the degrees of iconicity and I have divided them into three levels, from the highest degree to the lowest. For the first drawing, I used HB, 6B, and 8B graphite pencils, a blending stump, and a kneaded eraser. For the second one, I needed an ink pen, like the ones used in the past. Finally, for the last drawing, I used acrylic paint in five colors.

The horse

Before starting to draw, it is necessary to have a structure and a good plan with reference guide lines, as can be seen in the image. Once this is done, you can start shaping it by observing the distances. This drawing is not a finished one, but it does have a few extra details; however, it still remains a drawing with little realism. In this drawing, I only used an HB graphite pencil, the "standard" one.

An imaginary world

Starting from the first photograph given to us in class, I had to create an imaginary world inspired by it. All the elements from the image had to appear, transformed into unreal things that don’t exist. In the drawing, we are placed inside the sea, where there is a mix of fish shaped like flowers, and I have arranged the other elements as if they were partially buried. I used HB, 6B, and 8B graphite pencils, a blending stump, a rubber pencil, and a kneaded eraser, and I explored a texture techniques, such as the sand or the glass of the fishbowl.
